Leslie was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in September of 2011. This was  5 hours before she delivered her healthy baby boy Ayden. Currently in remission, doctors gave her 6 months to a year to live. The search for a bone marrow match started.

Leslie says, “Now they physically hook you up to blood. It’s about the same as giving plasma, and if you are my donor and you live in Kansas or Australia you don’t have to leave where you are from. You can go to your local hospital. They will draw blood. It takes about two hours. You don’t even get anytime off work. It’s not a big procedure.”
